NEODYMIUM MAGNET + COPPER PIPE = FUN!

Discussion

  • - What do you think about this? see, and tell us now.
  • - i thought anit-gravity is when something goes the opposite direction to gravity or stops in its place, not just slows down
  • - Now make yourself a neodymium magnetic suit and jump into a giant copper pipe. That will be fun!
  • - your parents will die 5 hours from now if you don't repost this to 5 different youtube videos
  • - Is it the stronger the magnet the slower it is or the thicker the pipe the slower it is??
  • - "Anti gravity"In the same sense that holding onto a handhold on a cliff is 'anti-gravity'.
  • - Come on man you say Aluminum the correct British way but not Anti.. Utter disapointment..
  • - I would like to see the tube getting flipped so the magnet travels upwards.
  • - it can be yoused as a nice shock absorber
  • - It's not only the air antigravity no way out and escapes through the small hole in the magnet, and this slows down the descent of that magnet anti gravity would be then if the magnet hung in the air.
  • - This would make a cool Disney ride! A zero-gravity tube drop on a magnetic platform! Patent it!!!
  • - i wonder if they can create an elevator brake that uses this principle? cables for only lifting it
  • - For every force there is an equal and opposite reaction.
  • - "that's pretty darn brilliant" ROFL! hwhahahah :DD
  • - what happends if you turn the tube upsidedown while it is droping????
  • - Not anti gravity, not even close. This is a parlor trick. The eddy currents loops back around upon themselves based on the weight of the magnet slowing it down.Put lead on top of your magnet or bottom for that matter see what happens.Anti-gravity is the ability to manipulate gravity like fuel in an ICE. It needs to be controlled completely.Gravity is based on electro-gravito fields basically EM+Inertia and a bit of harmonics(frequency).
  • - could u do it on the side???
  • - lenz's law
  • - aloooomiiii nuuummm
  • - Mistate-kuh.
  • - WHERE DID YOU GET THIS MAGNET!?!?!?!?
  • - Yeah it looks fine :D
  • - Wooow
  • - This is not some "Anti-grawity" it's just an magnetic field thats trying to stay on pipe.
  • - Try this with a superconductor. The magnet will stop halfway through the tube and it will stay there literally flying in mid air until the superconductor runs to hot.
  • - I feel bad for the viewers that are awestruck by the mediocre presentation of information. Instead all you see are "desk physicists" and kids going "wow dat wus keel lol! magnets!".
  • - You can also do this with aluminum, but it doesn't work as well. I think if you used solid silver tubes it would float down even slower than copper.
  • - Gravity? Who gives a crap about gravity?
  • - You shouldnt always let the magnet drop on to the floor, the magnet will get damaged more with every drop and it will lose strength
  • - There are some entertaining if slightly strange explanations for what is happening here. I'd recommend just looking up "Lenz's Law". You won't need to be a scientist to understand it, it's just electricity and magnetism.
  • - It wasn't the anti gravity as shown
  • - This is just a bug. God is going to fix it in the v1.02 patch.
  • - not 'slower'. more slowly
  • - It's not anti-gravity, if it were than it would stay still or even go up.
  • - Ends of comments.
