  • - What do you think about this? see, and tell us now.
  • - You can buy 3-4 neodymium magnets at hobby lobby or Michael's for between 4-5 dollars.
  • - How much pull force does one of those magnets have 5lb, 10lb, 20lb etc...
  • - Why would i waste my HDD for a Magnet
  • - MAXTOR might get mad at you lol! Nice tutorial anyway.
  • - I'll disassembly my PC to get some from my sata devices.
  • - if you can dont take them off the metal pice, they break easily
  • - computer hard drives arent for free
  • - Now I only need to buy a computer to get free neodymium magnets.
  • - all you gotta do to get 2 neodymium magnets is to buy a $100 hardrive
  • - i did this and the magnet broke into half? Does that mean its not neodynium??
  • - Wow just wanted to say thanks a million for this, I have a ton of old hard drives and it never even crossed my mind that I could salvage the magnets! What's even better is that I was literally going to buy some more strong magnets while I was out today because I need them for a project I'm working on, and I've had an almost endless supply of them sitting around this whole time! This just saved me at least $5 - $10 bucks so thanks again for the info man, it's much appreciated! It's funny how with a video like this you're always guaranteed to have at least 20 or more "captain obvious" dumbshits who literally cannot resist their internal urge of mental retardedness, which is why you get the "It's not really free!" or the "That's just stupid because you're spending $100 on a hard drive for $5 worth of magnets!" type of comments. So if you ever wonder why there HAS TO BE idiotic warnings on products like shampoo bottles which say shit like "Don't eat the shampoo!", be sure to go ahead and thank all of the special little fucktards who made those comments because they are exactly who those warnings were specifically designed for.
  • - how strong would you say that one is ? N42. N48,ect?
  • - oh... well in that case I have TONS of neodymium in my house then lolol
  • - Lol sometimes i have to laugh at how much stupid can people get, this video is made for those who have old HDD or malfunction one's. He didn't meant for you to go and buy a $100 or $300 HDD to get magnets. Stop using your Ass and use your brains a little bit more morons.
  • - Never again will i throw an old hard drive away without opening first.
  • - good, though it isn't for free
  • - I am a harddrive and I find this both offensive and corrupting.
  • - I have over 300 dead hard drives I guess plenty of free magnets for me :)
  • - Great little vid :-) I had an old 80GB Maxtor hard drive to try this on. I don't have a vice/clamp, so the only thing I did differently to this video was use two pliers, one in each hand, to bend the magnet housing in order to prise the 2 magnets off. Boy, are they strong?!
  • - If you stick a few of these magnets under your car, near the front, it helps trigger green light! But it only works with induction loop detectors (just google it)
  • - Cool as fuck. Thanks.
  • - I hope you backed up your data first.
  • - "for free"
  • - so thats how Lois Lerner scratched it...lol
  • - great I will buy some hard drives to get "free" magnets, DOH
  • - Make a video showing how to get a cylinder magnet
  • - That's not exactly free because in order to get the magnet from the hard drive, you are going to need to get a hard drive first which costs money.
  • - Le mec il s'acharne lol ;)
  • - fucking retard
  • - Or, alternatively you could just buy them from ebay. 50 of them cost about 10$ including shipping...
  • - Very good and nice
  • - IMPORTANT!!!! I have had a lot of fun with magnets from HDD today I took apart 5 HDD and had a brilliant idea. Sometimes when you break off the magnet from the magnet frame, the coating of the magnet brakes off. So today I used a heat-gun to soften the glue... All magnets got demagnetized by the heat. Now I know.http://www.kjmagnetics.com/blog.asp?p=temperature-and-neodymium-magnets
  • - There is not a single intelligent or grammatically correct comment on this video...
  • - i just heard a man screwing :D
