  • - What do you think about this? see, and tell us now.
  • - Is there gold in the sands of southern Utah?
  • - so you found 6 pounds of gold. thats crazy how did you find so much
  • - im doing a report on mining advances in durning the gold rush. Im just curios but do you know how the "The Rocker" works? thanks : )
  • - your dumping to much gold in the wheel at 1 time....and yes you can over load a wheele..if anyone say you cant over load a wheele there full of shit
  • - I live only a few blocks away form an old river, I collected fulls bags of iron and around 30 small pieces of gold, it takes a while but I enjoy finding these stuff.
  • - Simply take a small magnet down to the river bar and see what it picks up. Any black sands stick to it. A good shot of black sands in Finding Gold XI as well. Good luck in your prospecting!
  • - Can i find gold anywhere ?
  • - So the black chunks that climbed the wheel... gold ot mercury? I got a little confused there... If its gold, why is it black?
  • - p.s. can you add me as a contact so i can message you
  • - No. Been along it many times but didn't stop there.
  • - great vedio.,.
  • - I been finding shiny platinum color when panning my black sands, heavy, stays with the sands... what could it be? its very fine but still pretty good weight to stay with the black sands. What does rhodium look like if found among black sands?
  • - lol u said spoon it in haha
  • - What's funny is I researched my Michigan Department of Natural Resource page and they say that gold panning is allowed but you are only allowed to keep half of a troy ounce and this is for one season. I think that's horrible they shouldn't be allowed to tell you how much you can keep on public land.
  • - Practically all the rivers and streams in the southern quadrant, and in the NE quadrant have gold. I try not to get hung up on specific rivers anymore. Any goldbearing river can produce a big payday if you learn how to read the river (click "more" top right). I've had significant strikes in Oregon, Colorado, and Georgia, so it's not the state, or the river, it's studying the river that leads to the concentrations. Good luck!
  • - cool so much gold there
  • - Matt, I like you suggestions about fine gold and all the work you've placed in the videos. They're helpful. Maybe you can give us all some feedback on what you do for very fine gold ("micro" gold) or flakes that are easily visible to the eye but still so thin that they get sucked up by a Blue Bowl. I've run black sands with gold less than 100 mesh and visible to the eye and even PAN-able gold, but the darn stuff is too thin/light to be stopped by the blue bowl. I'll post a second message
  • - how can I find gold? what to look for in the area?
  • - so rivers high in iron ore possibly have deposits.. how do you then recognize iron ore?
  • - where are you finding all this gold?
  • - Cont: Cost depends on how and what you'll do. I would hold off and learn all I could first, as many have gone broke by getting gold fever. Grab a pan or pan and (shovel into) hand sluice first, and see if you can find gold -- then take it to the next level if appropriate. The gems in Finding Gold III are worth much more than gold -- learn all you can before heading off. More gold nuggets found with metal detectors than dredges.
  • - Ok, i am curious. In the first vid, " where the dredging is going on ", it mentions platinum, " and it looked like quite a bit of it ". Question, what becomes of this platinum? I see nothing about recovering it, thus far. Do you recover platinum or just wash it away?
  • - Message 2: I also have a huge batch of black beach sands that is loaded with platinum and rhodium. The little specks are just over 100 mesh size and are massively reflective - the sand sparkles in light - there's quite a bit of metal there. But I can't get it out using a blue blow. All of the mass goes up through the bowl. It's too light. I'm using the bowl per instructions as well. Got any ideas on how to free this prize? A 5gal bucket might = over an troy oz of Rhodium here - thanks!
  • - @andrey164121 : yes, there is gold in Wa. State, and some in the areas you asked about. You will have to do some research to find it, and the search should be worthwhile.
  • - The little sparkles are probably pyrite, the sand may well be iron. Take a magnet and check the black sands, if iron you have a decent shot at finding some color by digging down at the head or the tail end of the string.
  • - Your figures are a little off, as we use Troy ounces in gold. You can get many times the spot price of gold for nuggets (sold as jewelry, every one is unique, 70 & up % from refiners for the rest, or sold in vials, lockets, or other jewelry, again, many times the spot price. Most of my gold is given away. Good luck if you get into it! PS: your comment went through, the porno spammers have found me since total movie views is going through 70,000, so I have to put comments on a hold.
  • - would dredging under a waterfall be a good idea????
  • - for what?
  • - I still have it. The platinum goes up the wheel just like the gold (similar specific gravity). Much of the darker material you see intermixed with the gold was platinum. Like diamonds in the raw, platinum doesn't always look like platinum (looks dull and similar to black pellets sometimes).
  • - @beastlybombers : I use golddredger.(com) forums to keep up on things. I'm really not a store, the products there on Amazon are the ones I recommend (and use myself - just bought an Ace 350 off it). The way to use the products page is with the search engine to find the lowest price and then take that to wherever you normally buy or support. The books can be checked out at a library. Best of luck!
  • - Yes. The price of rhodium depends in large part on the space program. If there is a healthy space program and they need it, they will pay whatever price to get it.
  • - I'm in the mountains in Montana right now, filming exactly what you're talking about and will have it up as soon as feasable. Thanks for the kudos, appreciated!
  • - i found gold dust in a small lake...how can i get him??
  • - That is correct, the wheel and bowl are far more efficient than I am with a pan.
