  • - @MrTeslonian Sounds good, so then i can just buy some power cords at my local store and do it in the same manner, right? I'll just try something out and i'm kinda tired of pedaling my chopper bicycle around, i think magnets here would do a great deal if i can make it work out, electromagnetism btw, don't need much power to push a bike, or a plane i got with it's motor, so small, yet so powerfull :) Those sticky magnets seems to be the future after all ^^
  • - @spectrospirit The length is dependent on the power input or power out put wanted depending on if it's a motor or generator. The 14 coil's in the video total 1/4 mile or 1320 feet of copper magnet wire. To start wrap a coil 50 wrap's and test it's out put with a meter if you double the wrap's you bouble the out put. If you want to make a motor make sure to use a 20gauge or larger wire so it wont over heat. Good luck.

  • - @spectrospirit Thanks for the great questions. First yes I did make the coils in the video, I wrap each coil with a drill until i have two hundred wraps per coil, I hand wrap the first coil 200 times then unwrap the coil and cut every wire to that length. Bild a wraping block by setting one of your magnets on a piece of 1/2" pine wood and trace it out then mesure 1/16" out from the trace line and draw a new line then cut and mount side walls so its like a spindel. Yes its coated magnet wire.
  • - i do have a question i got a 40 gauge magnet wire which is so thin ? would it work to produce one or two volts , and how many wraps should i have to make of it . next question is that i had got n35 neodymium magnet 2 pieces of 2 inch , should i increase the number of magnets or coils to generate more power
  • - @spectrospirit I dont how well house wire will work. Try useing an old alternetor from a car strip the gut's out of it and mount the magnets to the rotor and wrap coil's that will bend and fit in the case this will give you a super powerfull motor I would you'se 4 - 150lb magnets on the rotor.

  • - Good presentation there, but where can you typically get access to coils like that? You made it, didn't you? Trying to create an electromagnetic motor, have allready ordered a magnet with 60 kg lift force and still more but smaller are pending and maybe 4 more big ones. Coils...?
  • - Hey nice presentation. I thought a neodynium magnet and 250 coils of copper wire (low resistance) would generate a higher voltage than 1.3 volt lol. Any way to calculate the voltage out of a coil when rubbed at certain speed with magnet? also, is there any way you could have two magnets places in a certain way to generate more voltage? (is there a more efficient method of rubbing with magnets to produce a higher voltage?)
